Empire State Voices Statement on House Republicans’ Refusal to Hold George Santos Accountable

NEW YORK — Today, 221 House Republicans including Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19), Rep. Brandon Williams (NY-22), and Rep. Anthony D'Esposito (NY-04) voted in favor of delaying the expulsion of Congressman George Santos (NY-03).

Maria Martinez, Executive Director of Empire State Voices, had this to say:

“It is shameful that Rep. Molinaro, Rep. Williams, and Rep. D'Esposito chose to protect a federally-indicted liar over New York citizens. Voting to protect Rep. Santos is a vote against New Yorkers. He has been a constant disgrace to the House of Representatives and needs to be expelled immediately. Rep. Santos and his fellow New York Republicans are a danger to the state of New York and must be held accountable for consistently putting their party over their constituents.”
