NEW AD: U.S. Army and New York National Guard Veteran Slams Rep. Molinaro for Siding with Corporations Over Working People

“Molinaro is Looking Out for Big Corporations. He is Definitely Part of the Problem.” –Neil, Binghamton, NY

BINGHAMTON, NEW YORK — Today, Empire State Voices launched a new ad in the Binghamton media market as part of its seven-figure paid media effort in New York’s 19th Congressional District. “Serve” is the eighth in a series of ads aimed at holding Rep. Marc Molinaro accountable for voting against the interests of working people and educating constituents on the Congressman’s record.

“Serve” features the story of Neil, a U.S. Army and New York National Guard veteran from Binghamton, NY. Neil proudly served his country for years but is now finding it difficult to make ends meet. He feels that Representative Marc Molinaro is ‘part of the problem,’ ignoring the needs of working people like him while voting to give big corporations billions in tax breaks.

“As a veteran, I understand the importance of service to my countrymen, and I’ve dedicated my post-military career to serving the most vulnerable in society. I expect our elected officials to do the same,” said Neil, a resident of Binghamton, NY. "That's what's so disappointing about Marc Molinaro. Time and time again, Marc has shown he's on the side of big corporations and not working and vulnerable people like me. When is he going to stop voting for massive tax breaks for corporations and start working to help struggling New Yorkers who are barely getting by?"

Full script of the ad, entitled “Serve,” below:

“I served in the Army and the New York National Guard.

I was very proud to serve my country.

It’s very hard to make ends meet these days,

So it really ticks me off when some big corporations don’t pay any taxes at all

And politicians like Marc Molinaro help them get away with it.

Molinaro voted for billions in corporate tax giveaways

While working people like me are just trying to get by.

Molinaro is looking out for big corporations.

He is definitely part of the problem.

Molinaro should start looking out for us instead of them.”
