TODAY: Empire State Voices Launches New Ad to Hold Rep. Marc Molinaro Accountable for Putting Corporations over Local Businesses
The 30-Second Spot is the Second Ad in a Seven-Figure Media Campaign Aimed at Holding Rep. Molinaro Accountable For Voting Against the Economic Interests of His Constituents
NEW YORK — Today, Empire State Voices launched an ad to hold Congressman Marc Molinaro accountable for voting to benefit corporate special interests instead of standing up for working families in New York. The 30-second spot is the second in a seven-figure paid media effort highlighting Rep. Molinaro’s record of voting for tax breaks for big corporations while everyday New Yorkers in NY-19 pay their fair share.
The ad features the story of Antonio, the owner of a small gym in Saugerties, NY, who’s tired of career politicians like Congressman Molinaro looking out for big corporations and special interests while families like his are struggling to make ends meet.
“Our goal is to hold Congressman Molinaro accountable to the promises he made to his constituents and put pressure on him to support legislation that helps the working people of his district,” said Maria Martinez, Executive Director of Empire State Voices. “He talked a big game on the campaign trail, but we’ve seen him take office and immediately begin voting to benefit corporate special interests. Our hope with this ad is to remind Congressman Molinaro of who he’s actually supposed to represent.”
